Renold Building Wins BCO Innovation Award … and We Helped!
The British Council for Offices (BCO) recently announced its 2026 Northern Regional Award winners, which celebrates outstanding workspaces leading in sustainable and clever office design across the region.
Taking home the Innovation Award was the redevelopment of Manchester’s Renold Building, an iconic brutalist landmark that historically served university students and has been redeveloped into an forward-thinking hub by Sister. This is a huge project that we’ve proudly contributed to on two separate occasions, and we’re thrilled to see it getting recognition like this!
We started our collaboration with the installation of our Renold Building Meeting Pods. We designed and installed three distinct modular pod styles that fit seamlessly into the expansive concrete upper ground floor.

We later returned to fit-out the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors for Sustainable Ventures Manchester, delivering sustainable, breathable, adaptable and acoustic workspace infrastructure designed to nurture climate-tech start-ups and green innovators.

It’s a real achievement knowing we’ve contributed to a project that’s been recognised for progressive, circular building principles. Congratulations to the entire team at Sister and all the partners involved in bringing the Renold Building into its next chapter!
