Kinrise: Coworking Space

Kinrise specialise in restoring historic buildings and transforming them into beautiful co-working spaces. In 2022, U-Build had the pleasure of collaborating with them on their fit-out in Leeds. Located in the city centre on Boar Lane, the heritage building was kitted out with meeting rooms and breakout spaces using our modular system.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s possibly because the pods that you see in this photo are not new – in fact they have already had a former life as artist studios for Leeds-based East Street Arts, who helped build 5 pods and used them as artists-in-residence on the ground floor of the building during the refurbishment.

The pods have had many uses in Leeds, from a recording studio and radio station to workspaces for the Kinrise occupants. But the story doesn’t end there. The pods will be moving again to new location in Stroud in 2023 where they will once again be used for artist workspaces. Watch this space.
