Kinrise: Coworking space

Kinrise specialise in restoring old buildings and transforming them into beautiful co-working spaces. U-Build had the pleasure of working with them on their fit out to build a series of meeting room and breakout spaces for their building on Boar Lane in Leeds.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s possibly because the pods that you see in this photo are not new – in fact they have already had a former life as artist studios for Leeds based East Street Arts, who helped build 5 pods and used them as artists-in-residence on the ground floor of the building whilst the refurbishment was happening. Whilst the pods have been in Leeds they have had many uses, including a recording studio and radio station as well as workspaces for the Kinrise occupants.

But the story doesn’t end there. The pods will be moving again to new location in Stroud in 2023 where they will once again be used for artist workspaces. Watch this space.
